ANN: PocketGPSworld Dynamic POI Service Launched

We've been working for some time to improve the presentation of POIs on our
website and make it easier and quicker for user submitted POIs to be made
available to others.

I'm pleased to announce that the new system was launched yesterday. It
allows you to upload/download POIs and combine multiple categories into a
single POI file (useful for TomTom with it's POI limit).

Although initially available for TomTom and Garmin only we are working to
add more devices to the list. We are also in the final testing phase of a
mobile version of the system which will allow you to search for and download
POIs from a compatible mobile phone or PDA.

Access to the POI download page is free to registered forum members and at
launch we have over 100,000 POIs available.
