What's the news? Satellites can't be defended
agaimst a determined attacker.
The only reason there no deployed anti-sat systems
is the the US and the USSR have (wisely) chosen not to,
long ago.
The United States logged a formal diplomatic protest.
In case an American satellite is attacked
the US will do more than that.
It could well be a casus belli,
