I guess what confuses me is that (according to
http://www.nstb.tc.faa.gov/incoming/New_WAAS_Geo_Status.pdf) WAAS
satellite PRN-135 (which, I believe, shows up on the Garmin Satellite
page as #48) has been coming in gray (which is explained within the
document), but PRN-138 (which, I believe, shows up on the Garmin
Satellite page as #51) has been coming in black. Why haven't I seen #51
prior to late 2006? I understand that the powers that be moved PRN-122
Several of the satellites were repositioned last year.
On my 60cs, I get 48 and 51, both as strong hollow bars. Only two show up,
and since those two are "good", I don't think I will ever see anything
else. 51 might show up as solid because, I recall, it is Canadian, and may
operate as GPS location satellite, in addition to broadcasting WAAS
corrections for other satellites.
http://www.gpsinformation.net/exe/waas.html has some explanations, and a
set of links to lyngsat, where you can click your location on a map, and
get the az/el to the satellite. The angle might surprise you.
#35 would be at 209az.

From San Francisco, you should be able to see 4 WAAS satellites.
