I live in South Africa and will be visiting Spain and Portugal soon.
I will be doing a lot of driving in the region and want to purchase City
Navigator Europe for my GPS.
Have any of you used this product?
Did it meet your expectations?
I currently have the old GPS V but will replace it before the trip with
either the 76CsX or the Nuvi 350.
It appears that there is no micro SD version of City Navigator Europe for
the 76CsX so I would have to go the expensive route of buying region by
region or alternatively buying the DVD option and hoping that I can fit all
of Spain and Portugal into the 128MB of the 76.
Looking forward to your comments.
I have driven in the last year in England, France and Italy using City
Navigator V8, and I was very pleased with the performance. It was quite
amazing (to me) to be guided through small villages in southern Italy with
complete accuracy (well nearly always).
The DVD is quite expensive, but reasonable I think, considering you are
buying street level mapping for every town and village in Europe. A 500 MB SD
card would probably be enough for Spain and Portugal. 2 GB will take most of
Europe.
