Re: Looking for good rover unit

Leica is not in the sub-meter market any longer. It's Trimble,
Magellan and Geneq.

Hello,

I'm trying to return to the world of GPS collection after a 5+ year
hiatus, so I'm not really sure what is out there. I used to use a
trimble proXR at my old job.

I'm looking for a good sub-meter rover unit that has a fairly fast
update (better than 1 position update per second, I'm looking for more
like 10x per second), and sub-meter accuracy after correction. I'd
also like to keep the cost under $5000, though of course the lower the
better. Any advice on what I should go for. Leica, Trimble, or is
there something else out there. Also, are there any websites or faqs
that review and summarize the survey/mapping grade receivers out
there.

Thanks for any and all help!!!

Paul
