Broken SP2720??

Good morning all,
I have a fairly new SP2720 (about 1 month). It looked as if it did a
total reset, I lost all my personal data, and now it displays "Maps are
Locked" at startup, so only base map shows. I cannot find any instructions
for unlocking and nothing I do seems to work. Is there a way? or is it
broken. Of course no response from Garmin because it is a weekend.
