As I've said before, Jack, you're one of the most helpful people that
I've encountered on Usenet and I'm seriously impressed at your detailed
knowledge of the various models but...
....you can't 'find out how accurately placed that marker is' using a
consumer grade GPSr [1]. However, you can probably find out how accurate
is your GPSr *at the time* you're at the marker by noting its displayed
position in relation to the surveyed position of the marker.
[1] The accuracy of a consumer grade GPSr is better than 15 metres rms
for 95% of the time over a thirty day period. It's that remaining 5%
that's the killer.
