I believe there are two installers on the disk. Look for another with a
*.msi extension and try that.

I have pointed it to the right installer and it still doesn't work. I've
download with IE7 and did the webupdater, both didn't work. I'll try
removing then reinstalling tonight.

I uninstalled Mapsource and reinstalled using the Topo 2008 disc. When I
tried to updated via the webupdater it didn't work. I've got a bunch of old
Mapsource programs, CN 2005 & 2006, Roads & Rec, Metroguide ver ? Topo and
now Topo 2008. There's some Mapsource install files in the Add/Remove
programs that won't remove. I'm thinking of removing everything in the
registry that has Garmin and Mapsource in it. Other suggestions?
