Where I live I can receive both PRN(?) 48 and 51 (Garmin numbers). I
find my GPS 76Cx switching between these two but never seeing both at

I recall seeing both 48 and 51 at the same time but can't recall if it
was before the most recent software update.

Can anyone cast some light on this?

see http://www.nstb.tc.faa.gov/DisplayGEOStatus.htm

Garmin 48 is PRN-135, ANIK-F4 at W107.3
Garmin 51 is PRN-138, Galaxy 14 at W133

Yes but how does that explain why my unit is sometimes seeing 48 and sometimes 51 in the same location but never both? My location is well within the coverage area for both.
