I've noticed that my GPS V doesn't seem to pick up WAAS signals
anymore.  It only seems to be looking for satellites number 35 and 47,
which, if I read the wikipedia article correctly, are no longer
broadcasting.  I've tried everything on Dale's site just short of a
factory reset, but it doesn't seem to be searching for any new birds.
Any advice?

Yes, 35 and 47 are no longer broadcasting:http://www.gpsinformation.net/exe/waas.html
However, 48 and 51 are...  I'm receiving 48 in Atlanta...

Colorado Springs (approx 38° 49' N    104° 43' W) here.  I just tried
a roundabout way to make the gps dump its almanac info.  I started it
without an antenna, told it to try a new location in Greece, and then
plugged in the antenna.  After 20 minutes it had rediscovered its real
location and had a new almanac, but it was still looking for 35/47.

I like the GPSmap 76C series...  They also do autorouting...

I'll look into it.  Thanks.

Cheers,
Art

I still use my gps V but have not used waas since I first got my unit.
At that time it did mainly use 35 and 47 once in a while off and on
but now I tried using waas again in my gps V and it stated searching
fron 33 on up until it got to 51 and immediately started using it and
within a minute or so it had 3d differential from 51. I left it on for
a half hour and now it uses 48 also but 51 is the strongest here in
Ohio. Are you using 2.50 firmware? I know now mine still works fine
with the new waas satelites but still turned it off as it works fine
with waas turned off.
