Antoher thing is that the phenomen you describe occurs only one time
since 2004 and the risk for that kind of application (ocean surface
drift) still very acceptable.

Good points - wonder if the poster has an SBAS receiver? One other
point, this is not the last time a clock anomaly happened, just the
one I happened to have data readily available for. They are
relatively rare as you state though.
