Re: GPS World: China Discusses Beidou with the GNSS Community

China Discusses Beidou with the GNSS Community

Two satellites in the Beidou Test System are now in orbit; the first
one launched in 2001, the second in 2007. Beidou is an active system,
currently providing service to navigation terminals within China. To
do so, it also employs two geostationary communication satellites.

Ah, finally an answer as to how the Beidou system works with only two
satellites - it doesn't.
All previous description that I'd seen indicated that only two
satellites were involved but never described how that could work.
