You can store as many routes as you want on the 7xx - it's just that only
10
are actually ready for use at any one time. Once you reach 10, you have
to
delete one before you can import another. So long as you have the .gpx
for
the one you deleted, stored on the Nüvi, it's easy enough to re-import it
later.

I see - that's all right then. I would never need more than 10 routes to
be
immediately available. Where are the routes actually stored? The internal
memory or on the optional SD card?

The .gpx files can be kept on the unit or SD card. You can have more than
one route per .gpx file (but I find that confusing!).

It seems to write a copy of the 10 currently imported routes to Current.gpx,
which gives rise to some slightly confusing duplication. When selecting
routes to import, it finds the route in the .gpx *you've* saved it to and
maybe again in current.gpx, where *it* saved it. Of course, it shouldn't
really be offering to import an already imported route at all - let alone
offering it twice!
