I know there is a device called GPS compass that is supposedlyI hesitate to answer without knowing you intended use for the compass. It
very accurate.
How does the built in compass in a 60CSx in comparison?
I suppose it works on the same principle.

is certainly not a replacement for a traditional compass when doing map and
compass work. However, if you calibrate it every time you replace the
batteries and hold the unit flat it will give you a reliable "general"
heading in increments of 10 degrees. I have seen lots of postings where
people denigrate this compass, but in my experience I have found it useful.
I think many of the complaints are due to user error. You do need to set up
the parameters for the speed at which the compass turns on and off
automatically. This is done in the setup section under heading.
