I'm pretty sure I bought my SPOT for $149. I noticed they are now $199
at Costco, with a $50 rebate.

Maybe I'm missing some nuance here, but it seems to me anyone sitting
on the edge might as well get a SPOT while they still offer the
rebate.

What happened with the Adventure Race this year where the SPOT was used by
all teams for online tracking? I checked the team progress and the lead
teams were never shown in the lead. Did the teams turn off their SPOT? Did
they fail?
