CHANGE IN FILES STORED IN CORS ONLINE STORAGE 1994-1999 ONLY
Due to an emergency need for disk space on the CORS online storage sever
selected duplicate datasets between 1994-1999 will be removed from the Silver
Spring online storage server (ftp://www.ngs.noaa.gov/cors/rinex) over the next
several days.
The CORS online storage has kept for a number of years two copies of every
24hr RINEX file. The first file was compressed using the algorithms of
Hatanaka and UNIX compress command represented as a file ending with d.Z
(this file has been KEPT). The second file was compressed using only the gzip
algorithm represented as a file ending with o.gz (this file has been REMOVED).
I apologize for the short notice on this change. UFCORS and OPUS are
unaffected by this change.
