Does anyone know if it's possible to use an old (non-HD) Sky receiver
to point to a different satellite and use a different decryption card?
To expand on that, my fiancee wants to watch Polish TV, so we bought a
satellite dish and receiver from Maplins, got it all setup and working
fine. However now she wants to watch some subscription channels, which
means we need a decoder card ... however our receiver doesn't have a
slot for a decoder card, therefore I was wondering if I could use our
old sky box and re-tune it to receive the frequencies off the relevant
satellite and put in a Polish TV decoder card?
OT here, but the answer is no.
Regards,
Nick.
