I am a math student, working on the mathematics of image processing. Right
now I am trying to find a nice introduction to the mathematics of the Hough
transform. Searching google leads me to hundreds of websites and papers
talking about implementing the transform, but nothing that really tackles
the math as to why or how it works. Ideally, the best would be a paper
that examines the math and then goes into the application, giving pseudo
code I write up in Matlab.
Yes, I know it already exists in Matlab, but there is a big difference
between looking at well-written code and debugging your own attempts.
I am new to the field and do not know what journals I should be looking in
to find such papers. Mostly I have been trying math journals with not much
luck. I have access to most journal collection websites, such as JSTOR.
If anyone could point me in the right direction, I would very appreciative.
