I'm writing a motion detection system. I have a number of cameras pointed at hallways and need to detect when there is movement. The cameras send their video
to my video capture system. My program is "watching" the video and should trigger
an alarm when somebody is entering the building. The video window is not shared.
The picture switches between camera video input every few seconds the the main
window of my program.
I have a couple of problems. The video source is not stabile at times and may get
noisy for a few seconds. How can my program (Windows, C source) not detect noise
as movent in the picture.
How would I go about doing it. I'm sure this has been tackled over and over and I
do not want to re-invent the wheel. Any pointers?
