Camera for recognition system

Hi everyone!

I am working on a biometric application. I have to take a photo but I
have problems with light conditions. I use IR light, because this way I
though I could avoid light condition problems. Also, I am using a CCD
camera with a filter that stops visible light, and some IR diodes.
Everything works fine in normal conditions, but the problems came
during sunny conditions.

Has anyone solved this problem? Could you help me with this? I would
like to know the better type of camera, lense and filter.

Thanks in advanced!
