Hi,
I'm working on an imaging system with CMOS sensors. The lenses being used sometimes caused blurred images, some analysis using a software called 'Imatest' showed that the amount of Chromatic aberration is really high, but I'm not really sure about what the measurements actually are. I'm not an optics guy, but would like some links to the standard way of measuring chromatic aberration. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Unless it is a really pathetic lens or a very high magnification it should not have serious blurring due to chromatic abberations.
Longitudinal CA is approximately cancelled out in an achromatic lens. The residual transverse CA causes colour finrging away from the optic axis. See:

For a simple intro.
