You can do that,
But then you won't know from what angle the new picture is seen (if you
will get a picture that you can look at it).
As I see your goal is to construct a new picture that seems like taken
from angle that somewhere between the two other pictures.
It seems possible; I never tried to do such thing :).
I think for start you can use the disparity that you found for every
pixel in the 3D picture and try symmetrically reduce the disparity from
every pixel (like "what if the left picture is more closer to the right
one") and see what you got.
