Webcams for vision; classes that support up to 5 cams?

Hi,

I am looking for a webcam that will run under Windows that has
programming classes (any language C++, VB, Delphi, etc) that support up
to 5 simultaneous webcam connections. I will not need to acquire data
from each webcam simultaneously but I will need to be able to switch
between the cameras.

The programming classes for the Logitech cameras I have looked at are
no longer being supported unfortunately. I may be able to get the job
done with those, but if anyone knows of something more suited for this,
please fill me in.

As far as image processing goes, I need to find x/y coordinates of a
dot (laser light pointer) on a vertical plane. I have briefly looked
at LabVIEW's vision packages, but if routines are available such that I
can put this together in VC++ or similar I would much rather go that
route.

Thanks for any information.

David
