Object Tracking in 3D Space

Hi,

I am doing some research for my final year thesis. My task is to track
objects in a video using 2 cameras (to have a 3d model) and then
generate a 3d graphical model...I have gone through several
algorithms..and the most appropriate one seems to be a kalman
filter...do you have any ideas / books/ links or any suggestions that
may help??
