segmentation á la photoshop

Hello world,
I am working with images ob objetcs taken in front of a black
background. Using phtoshop, selecting only the object is fairly easy
using the "Magic Wand tool" (because really only the object is
non-black)

To come to my question: Do you know of any implementation of this tool
in C++, which I could use? I tried the standard segmentation methods,
which unfortunately did not bring the wanted results and I furthermore
think that using a simple photoshop-like technique would be more
efficient.

Thanks a lot for your help in advance,

greetings
Tim
