Re: Better newsgroup?

Hi all,

I've got questions that are related to imaging hardware, but not really to image processing - i.e. cameras, framegrabbers, etc., especially about the emerging GigE Vision standard and its relation (if any) to existing products from Pleora Technologies. Anyone know a good newsgroup for that sort of thing?

Thanks,

Each of the manufacturers for the Frame Grabbers has their own forums on the web
That way the manufacturers can say they provide customer support, while at the same time keeping track of people who are dissing their products. In which case the manufacturers will gladly edit the posts
Cameras are a little trickier, since I have not needed to interact with them very specifically, I usually deal with FireWire, CamLink, or the interfaces rather than with the cameras directly. In these cases for FireWire there is no newsgroup specifically for Imaging applications of firewire. For CamLink there are again the Manufactuer forums.
Good Luck
