Yes TTL is subjected to noise influence.
LVDS is designed to over come spike noise..
long cables lying parallel to other cablesSometimes even with good shielding and grounding one cant simply eliminate
unshielded cables
poor grounding
poor connections
multiple connectors
noise, especially if the device are close together.
Normally we can do debounce checking(trigger active) or trigger interval
timing to eliminate possible noise. For some project i do implement this at
software level, For timing resoution at 1milisec or less you should find a
harware implementation.
