I shouldn't be doing this, and I'm astonished this is beyond your
cabilities, but because I had 30 seconds to spare and maybe I felt
sorry for you, I did this:
areaDifference = sum(sum(bw1))-sum(sum(bw))
There, now that wasn't so hard was it?
Your way was very inefficient and didn't even give you the difference
like you wanted.
