Hardware implementation of bicubic/lanczos resizing

Hi all,

I've been tasked with looking into hardware implementations of
resampling algorithms, both for upsizing and downsizing of an image.
No rotation is performed and the maximum resize scale will be 1.5X in
either direction. I'm having trouble locating any useful text and
would appreciate any pointers to IEEE papers or texts that cover the
topic.
