Spyder2 + Solios XCL = missing lines ?

I am scaning cylindrical parts with a spyder2 connected to a Solios XCL,
generating 2048 x 1800 images. The line width is 7 microns large (image
size). I checked that the part is regularly moving in front of the lens on a
belt; the movment is coded by an rotary encoder fixed on the belt wheel. The
belt wheel is round (radius variation is less than 1 micron). The belt is
not elastic. The part axle is always perpendicular to the optic axis; the
part is not sliding on the belt. The line frequency is below 18 KHz (the
maximum camera line speed). The exposure time (40 microsecond) is well below
the line period (1/18000 = 55 microsecond).

The repeated measure of the same part lenght show variation up to 0.4 mm
(some 57 lines are missing !). This part is a cylinder with a cone at each
end, so the image is focused on every parts of the shape.

A part of the image should show belt features at a 45 degrees angle. In
fact, the angle displayed is more than 45 degrees; A careful examination of
those parts shows "groups" of 4 or 5 lines obvioulsy separated by missing
lines.

As anyone experienced such problems of missing lines on a line scan camera ?
