You'll need to do some modeling once you've extracted the cat from
multiple frames. Essentially build up a 3D model of the cat and then
tell it to do what you want to do on the new frames. Depending on how
well you want to do this, it can be extraordarily difficult. Sounds
like you're in way over your head, but good luck anyway.

They've done Lord of the Rings, King Kong, Evan Almighty, etc. etc.
I'd say that nowadays anytime you see more than a few dozen characters
on screen at once, you're looking at digital "actors."
