how to get an uncompressed avi file

I want to use 'aviread' function in Matlab to read my avi file. It can
only read uncompressed avi files. But I donot know how to get
uncompressed one. It seems my avi files are all compressed.

Is there anyone can help me with this? Or could you give me some
software to transfer those compressed files to uncompressed ones?
