Microsoft HD

Hi

Does anyone know what the underlying technolgy of the Mocrosoft HD Photo
format is?
So far the most I've been able to find out is that it's not based on
wavelets.

Also, does anyone have a view they'd like to share about how HD Photo
compares with Jpeg2000 in terms of technology and likely future uptake.
