No one manages to teach は and が very well, either. Determining when a
verb is sufficiently inactive that I should use に instead of で eludes me.

Just to make English more fun, you do realize that there are dialects
(like mine) that distinguish between the "the" in "the Empire State
Building" and the "the" in "the red car", and pronounce them
differently, don't you?

I don't think it's "me me me" so much as "first lesson, first class."

KWW
