That line comes from a special file that takes precedence over JMdict
for glossing text. In this file are things like:
$B?9Fb3U(B [$B$b$j$J$$$+$/(B] /the Mori Cabinet/
(any guesses why?)
and many single kanji like $BL\(B. This is because if you look up,say,
$B1)(B in JMdict/EDICT, you'll find there are entries for the $B$O$M(B
and $B$o(B readings. When glossing text it could go either way depending
on the context (both syntactic and semantic), so in the specials file I
have an omnibus entry:
$B1)(B [$B$O$M(B;$B$o(B] /($B$O$M(B) (n) feather/plume/wing/($B$o(B) (n-suf) counter for
birds/counter for rabbits/
