I've read his "Chichioya"
which I liked pretty well. Also read "Kaidanji Kaidanji" which I liked
much better. My copy of it is an old beaten-up first edition. I tried
to hunt for it on Amazon Japan and couldn't find it. I have also never
heard any mention of it anywhere, so I am led to believe that a single
edition may have been all that was ever printed. It deals with a young
man and a young woman who come (separately) to Tokyo in the immediate
aftermath of WWII.
