Hey, there's not the slightest HINT of a glottal stop in 早速. I've
know "linguists" to say there is one in words like 学校, but if there
is, it's totally redundant. (That kind of reduncancy obviously occurs
in language, else no one would say "bottle," e.g., with glottal stop
instead of a [t] or a flap.)

Does Halpern indicate the reading of 学 in that word as "GAT-"? Or is
it inconsistent?
