I took this exam several years ago (and got the scholarship) and from
memory the exam had a few comprehension passages and then multiple
choice questions trying to assess how much you had understood. There
may have been some straight kanji questions in there too.
I had already passed level 1 at the time and I seem to remeber thinking
the exam was somewhere between level 2 and level 1 in terms of
difficulty.
