Re: Misc. WWWJDIC stuff

せんどう alternative reading for 山道 【やまみち; さんどう(P)】 (n) mountain road; mountain trail http://dictionary.goo.ne.jp/search.php?MT=%BB%B3%C6%BB&kind=jn&mode=0&base=1&row=1
(also in 広辞苑). Don't know how common that would be - not one I came across in my book which, incidently, is proving to have a rather high level of new (to me) vocabulary.

Genius J->E says "roan". I don't know enough to argue with them but 'roan' certainly sounds horsey.
葦毛; あし毛 【あしげ】 (n) grey horse; gray horse; dappled grey; dappled gray

I don't think this is necessarily water. Just a torrent. violent strong flow.
奔流 【ほんりゅう】 (n) tumbling water http://dictionary.goo.ne.jp/search.php?MT=%CB%DB%CE%AE&kind=je&mode=0&jn.x=36&jn.y=15
Many of the Google hits are suspiciously "name-ish" although I didn't
take the time to check it out in detail.

見える 【まみえる】 (uk) to meet (humble), to face, to act as a wife for (archaic)
http://dictionary.goo.ne.jp/search.php?MT=%A4%DE%A4%DF%A4%A8%A4%EB&kind=je&mode=0&jn.x=41&jn.y=7
(Not too happy with the definition of this one ...)

独居房 【どっきょぼう】 (n) single cell, (n) solitary confinement
http://dictionary.goo.ne.jp/search.php?MT=%C6%C8%B5%EF%CB%BC&kind=je&mode=0&jn.x=37&jn.y=12
That's what goo says anyway, but were I read it it was clearly being used
with the same meaning as 独居室 【どっきょしつ】 (n) cell (e.g., monk's)
.
