Rouen, France, (Inttranet press release): In any emergency, the
unavailability of qualified interpreters and translators can be a
major linguistic and logistic obstacle. Their absence hinders the work
of security services; in court, their unavailability can result in a
mistrial; in a medical situation, their absence can be fatal.
For these various reasons, the Regional Administrators of the
Inttranet(tm), (www.inttra.net), the leading multilingual portal
designed by and for professional interpreters and translators, have
decided to make registration on the portal free of charge.
This means that any professional interpreter or translator, whether
employed or freelance, satisfying the rigorous selection Inttranet(tm)
criteria and admitted to the network, has an extremely detailed
Curriculum Vitae, comprising two particularly useful features: it can
be updated on-line in real time by its owner, and it can be displayed
in all of the37 languages in which the portal is available.
In addition, network members automatically receive job offers posted
on the portal by customers direct in their letter-box, the offers
being transmitted in relation to the customers’ search criteria and
the linguistic and technical skills of network members.
As well as being multilingual, the Inttranet(tm) CV is one of the most
detailed in the world, comprising all the linguistic, technical,
data-processing, academic and even geographical details enabling
customers to locate the service providers who best correspond to their
needs. The "Search" and "Market" modules - which are also free of
charge - integrate all of these items as selection criteria.
The quality of the services provided is guaranteed by the network’s
admission criteria and controls: each candidate is approved by the
Inttranet Regional Adminstrator for the applicant’s country of origin,
the linguists admitted must have more than 3 years’ professional
experience, and preferably be a member of a recognised, national or
international professional association.
Finally, the portal being compliant with the requirements of the ISO
9001 quality assurance standard, relations between Inttranet members
and customers are direct, confidential and commission-free.
This new Inttranet(tm) development is of considerable use for
professional interpreters and translators, and for emergency, security
and legal services in every country.
