OT - I've Picked Up a Stalker

I've been on Usenet since 1989 and I've seen it all. Here, just because I
asked an innocent question "How do I input Japanese using Windows XP without
spending any extra money?" someone has decided he can't stand me and has to
follow up every single post I make with insults and digs.

I merely consider this to be a classic case study in how not to act on
Usenet, and a classic example of the symptoms of a peculiar social
programming that many, unfortunately, exhibit.

I advise everyone to try your best to not act this way whenever you get the
chance. Remember, I don't read it anyway, and I really don't mind. All I
have to do is see his name following mine, and I already know it's nothing
of importance just like all the other people that ever stalked me or ever
stalked anyone else. Notice that I don't engage him, because after 16 years
on Usenet, I have no interest in batting that ball over that net any longer.
He can get on topic, or not. It's his choice, not mine, and not yours.

I recommend leaving him alone and seeing how he handles it.

And to Paul himself: I challenge you to NOT respond to this post and to stop
your Holy War against people you perceive to be asking stupid questions.
You've been rationalizing less than exemplary behavior. Not that I'm perfect
either, but to go on and on and on with it is pointless.
