Perhaps my limited knowledge of Japanese in more influenced than I
thought by spending so much time in Yokohama. I heard and said じゃん
many many times before ever becoming aware that it was considered
Yokohama-ben, and this is the first I've heard that ちゃう is Yokohama-ben.
One time when I went to the barber in Machida, the guy there tried to
tell me that じゃん was actually Machida-ben and had been misattributed
as Yokohama-ben.
