Thanks for mentioning this. 乗り出す is in EDICT already, of course,
and I'll add an entry for 身を乗り出す.

There are 5 example sentences in the Tanaka corpus using 身を乗り出す.
They are at present linked to 乗り出す, but I'll relink them to
身を乗り出す. You can see them now by putting 身を乗り出 into the
Example Search option.

Eijiro has a quite good entry for 身を乗り出す, and of course it is
explained in the body of the 大辞林 entry for 乗り出す. It's also used
as an example of sense #3 of 乗り出す [lean forward] in the GG5.
