I imagine polite = sonkeigo and kenjougo, but without checking the
source I'm not sure.
Japanese: The Spoken Language, which uses the term "distal" for
masu/desu, refers to sonkeigo as "honorific polite" and kenjougo as
"humble polite", IIRC.
