WWWJDIC already has an example for 除け者にする みんなで私をのけ者にした。 I was left out in the cold by everyone.
An interesting sentence. I wonder exactly what the みんなで part means, and who did it?
From a Japanese grammar point of view I shouldn't even try but
駄目押しとして...
Would the 'original' be みんながみんなで私をのけ者にした。 and not being able to have みんなでが・・・ it was ellipsed.
I've probably thorougly missed the point. ^^v
(Hmm, I thought you could say "みんなで嫌った" but Google doesn't like it ...)
