I am not 100% certain, but I pretty sure that the 'm' is not accentuated, while not quite silent. I would compare the 'mti' to the mora 'tsu', where the two consonant sounds blend together into one. Try by beginning the 'ti' with your mouth closed for an 'm' sound.

Are you talking about English, or the language "Mtigwaki" comes from?

I am interested in the English pronunciation. Note, e.g., there is no "mora 'tsu'" in English! (Not that I understand what you mean by "blend together.")
