This seems pretty solid, but I've sent an email to my Yamaguchi in-laws asking just in case.
Got the thumbs up on this: つかりむら
The other guy be "marifu." Now what looks kind of like 阿原村 but almost certainly isn't, in 菊地郡、熊本? (Write 阿原 cursively--first character short horizontal in upper left corner, then straight down on left side, す with the second stroke starting at, not above, the horizontal one; second charater starts like a fat-bottomed る with another loop of some sort below--and see what it *really* says; I can't tell.) Whatever it was, it must not exist any more.

By the way, could you drop a note in this thread when you've sent the image? I don't check that email very often.
What image am I sending? I must have missed something.
Oh, I see. I neglected to scroll down below the 麻郷? おごう? in the previous post, because that had been solved already.
I don't think I'll send that image anywhere, at least not without disassociating the surnames and given names, even if there's no way anyone could use them for nefarious purposes. A couple of critics of my handling issues of privacy have got me real edgy.
Anyway, I have as close to valid readings of them as I'm likely to get from anyone outside a seance.
Bart .
