Where is tsukejie?

According to Jim, there is something called
付け知恵　【つけじえ】
but i have hard time getting it on my screen, as if my
IME went sour. Anybody else experiencing the same
phenomenon?
Of course
知恵　【ちえ】
is there but what happened to the " in し? Might it be
the case that is really is
付け知恵　【付け知恵】
by any chance?
