As Muchan and others have said, 入れ知恵 does not map 1-to-1 with
"suggestion." It has a negative connotation, as in: A woman has an
argument with her husband. She complains to her friend about it. Her
friend, who's an evil scheming beoch, tells the woman she should get a
divorce and take half the guy's money. That's 入れ知恵.
