That comment would fit up in (1) "this use of ほど" and on was
referring to からほど遠い.

Indeed, that's where I meant to put it, but I oftimes don't notice that
the cursor hasn't landed where I threw it.

In any case the best wasy to suggest that the prt is best written in
kana would be

程 【ほど】 (n-adv,n) (1) degree; extent; bounds; limit; (2) (prt) (uk)
indicates approx. amount or maximim; upper limit
